WHAT IS POLYNESIAN DANCE?
Polynesian dance originates from the islands of the Pacific Ocean, including Hawaii, Tahiti, the Cook Islands, Samoa, Tonga, and New Zealand. These dances are deeply rooted in the cultures of their respective islands, making it essential to understand their ethnic and historical significance.
In our classes, students are introduced to the fundamentals of both Hula and Tahitian dance (ʻOri). Instruction includes proper terminology and technique in both traditional and modern styles.
