BALLET & TAP AGES 3-6

BALLET & TAP
This class combines ballet and tap techniques. Students are introduced to the fundamentals of these two dance forms in a fun and entertaining way. Building self-esteem, enhancing the child's ability to interact with the class, and developing team effort are additional positive benefits a student gains from the class.

BALLET AGES 4-12

BALLET
Beginning students will meet twice-a-week for four weeks and grouped according to ages (4-6) and (7-12). Students will be taught the fundamentals of ballet: starting with stretches on the floor, legwork at the barre (a ballet bar) and progressing in the center, with traveling steps across the room. Students’ muscle strength, coordination, and musicality will be challenged in a safe, creative, and fun space. The student’s elegant posture and carriage will slowly evolve, and our hope is that the student will fall in love with the disciplined process of attaining the daintiness of ballet.

HIP HOP AGES 4-18

HIP HOP
As a part of our Hip Hop Department, students will gain confidence and a sense of community as they get their bodies bouncing and rocking. Students will explore rhythm, musicality, coordination, and body awareness through Hip Hop techniques, foundations, and fundamentals!

JAZZ AGES 7-12

JAZZ
Students use ballet technique as the foundation to strengthening this form of dance. Isolations, extensions, and contractions are integrated into achieving a balanced knowledge of modern, classical, and popular jazz movements.

POLYNESIAN AGES 4-6

POLYNESIAN
Polynesian dances come from the islands of the Pacific Ocean, such as Hawaii, Tahiti, Cook Islands, Samoa, Tonga, New Zealand etc. The dances have strong connection to the islands' culture and therefore it's essential to understand their ethnic nature. Both Hula and Tahitian (Ori) basics are taught in class. Students learn correct terminology and technique in both ancient and modern styles.
