Jessie started training at his old high school for 3 years. Through his high school dance team he was exposed to many different styles such as tap, hip hop, jazz, African etc. At the age of 18, he started training in Advanced Choreography at the Westlake School for the Performing Arts in Daly City, CA. Through their training, he was able to work his way up from the junior team APT, to their training team Training Ground, and now The Company, all under the direction of Pat Cruz, Jason Rillera, and Matthew Montenegro. He currently teaches multiple classes from beginner to advanced classes weekly at Westlake School for the Performing Arts and On One Studios.
As of late, he has had the privilege to work alongside artists such as E-40, P-Lo, and Tuxedo. He has performed at Urban Paradise with The Company, as well as competed at multiple competitions such as Vibe Dance Competition, Arena Dance Competition, World of Dance Competition, and other competitions in the Bay Area.
He has taught many local advanced level classes at On One Studios & Monday Night Workshop, In the Groove studios, Full-out Studios, The Company Intensives, classes for Google, High schools and many other local jobs around the Bay Area. His choreography and teaching has brought him to places such as Florida, Dallas, Houston and internationally to Toronto, Canada, Chengdu and China for Sinostage.
