Born in Manila, Philippines, Denise spent 8 years studying under the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet syllabi under Pamela Ortiz-Bondoc and Brezhnev Larlar before joining Ballet Philippines as a scholar in 2010. She received the esteemed Luva Adameit Award at the National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA) the year after and was then promoted to company apprentice. In 2012, she joined the company and after performing the title role in Giselle, she was promoted to soloist and then one year later to principal dancer.
While pursuing her career, she also finished her degree in Dance in De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde. She is also a certified Australian Conservatoire of Ballet teacher.
Denise received the 1st prize in the 1st CCP National Ballet Competition in 2014, Aliw Awards Best Classical Dancer, and Philstage Gawad Buhay Best Female Classical Dancer for Swan Lake. She also took part in the International Ballet Stars Gala in Melbourne, Australia 2017 and Life Chance Gala in support of the people in Ukraine in South Carolina. She was also accepted to compete in the USA International Ballet Competition 2018. She was also a guest Principal for Delta Festival Ballet in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Denise is presently dancing with New Jersey Ballet.
